Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: You Can’t Beat Home Cooking!. DESCRIPTION: The Army Catering Corps willingly accepts that you can’t beat home cooking. And they invited twenty-six mums to compete in a contest to find the mum to beat ‘em all. The Menu: Roast lamb, greens, spuds, apple pie and custard. The winner was Mrs Jones of Rossendale, Lancashire - the mum with the mostest! SHOTLIST: Key scene. MCU sign Army Cookery Competition Finals. GV competitors prepare food. MS same. MCU woman competitor. CU woman cutting. MS same putting flower in bowl. MS mixing. MS woman sorting out food. MS sign. MS woman puts food on plate. CU woman. CU meat and potatoes. The competition was organised by the Army Catering Corps Training Centre, and they invited 26 soldiers’ mums to show their skill.
