- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hong Kong - Duke Gets a Dunking!. DESCRIPTION: The world famous Dragon-Boat Races is really a festival for the fishing community. The Dragon Boats (22 of ‘em) are some 45 feet long. Among the boats which came to grief, the British Army entry with the Duke of Kent aboard. But with the temperature up in the 90’s, they probably weren’t too worried. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV pan - small boats. GV crowds. MS group of men in Dragon Boat Race. MS girl onto boat. The organisers of the Dragon Boat Festival (one of the highlights is the Dragon Boat Race) invited a team from the British Army to take part. The Duke of Kent who serves in Hong Kong, was among the army competitors.
