- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Katanga - Conflict and Confusion. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show Ethiopian Troops of the UN Forces consolidating their positions in Elisabethville, capital of the would-be break-away state. Details of the fighting are far from clear, but the UN Forces, commanded by the Indian General Prem Chano, have met little serious resistance. One serious casualty has been this Union Miniere Hospital, hit by mortar fire. At the Border mining town of Kipushi, hundreds of refugees have tried to flee across into Northern Rhodesia. UN Forces have now taken Tshombe’s temporary headquarters town Jadotville. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MLS tank - pan to tank. MS soldiers on tank, armed troops on hillside (6 shots).
