Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Leave It to Electronics. DESCRIPTION: The Decca Radar has produced a system to get you around traffic electronically. Detector cables in the roadway transmit impulses from vehicles passing over them to small relay boxes close by. The signals then travel via ordinary telephone lines to a control centre. Besides visual information the system also produces a graph for analysis. So you’d have city-wide control of the traffic flow all done automatically via computers from traffic lights. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS traffic starts from lights. CU traffic past camera (2 shots). CU tape across road. CU box by side of road. MS control room. CU map (2 shots). CU traffic. CU dial showing density of traffic per hour. CU map. CU pan - traffic. CU dial showing density of traffic. CU traffic. CU zoom in on dial indicating mph of traffic. MS traffic.
