Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gandhi Remembered. DESCRIPTION: Mr Nehru and the Mayor of St Pancras walk through Tavistock Square in London. He was to receive, on behalf of the Gandhi Memorial Committee the gift of a site in the Square on which a memorial will be erected to the Mahatma. Few men have done more than Nehru to further Gandhi’s work. Gandhi’s funeral is shown in flashback. Mr Nehru attended. Fantastic crowd scenes. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
