MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: World Famous in Wax. DESCRIPTION: Anyone who’s been fortunate enough to visit Hong Kong, will tell you that it’s a city of many worlds. The world of Suzie Wong, for instance. This life-like model of Nancy Kwan is a clue to a rather unusual occupation we discovered there recently: Jack Chen is the artist who creates these figures in wax. He uses photographs of the famous as a guide. Here, he is working on the head of Al Jolson, the first star of the talkies, destined for the Movieland Wax Museum in California. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
