MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hovercraft Trials. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show the Vickers VA3, shortly due to start the world’s first Hovercraft passenger service. It will be across the Dee Estuary. Carrying 25 passengers, she can cruise at 60 knots. Also showing its paces at this demonstration on the Solent - the original prototype of the Hovercraft idea - the SRN1.
