Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Easter Story - Hatching Eggs and Baby Elephant. DESCRIPTION: Easter time is the time for eggs, and it’s time for this lot to be taken to the incubator. Now, just turn on the heat, and in due course the chicks are out for Easter! Determining the sex of the young chicks is done by Japanese in this hatchery at Diss in Norfolk, where 80,000 are hatched every day. And here’s quite a chick, a 170 pound baby elephant, born in an American Zoo. The youngster is not too shaky on his pins, considering he’s only 10 minutes old!
