Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bush Fire!. DESCRIPTION: The battle of the bush-fires in Victoria raged over a hundred and fifty-mile front. What with the exceptionally dry weather and the strong winds blowing, the flames swept on out of control. So great was the threat, that ten townships had to be evacuated. Several lives were lost, and the damage done is beyond calculation as yet. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV wood fire. (4 shots) same. MS pan reinforcements arriving in lorry. (2 shots) fire fighting. (2 shots) homes on fire. MCU pan ambulance arrives. MCU refreshments being made. CU man from Salvation Army. (2 shots) men drinking. (2 shots) wood fire.
