MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trident. DESCRIPTION: The new British aircraft, de Havilland’s Trident, made a perfect take-off on her maiden flight, and, after flying for about an hour and a half, a perfect landing. She’s powered by three Rolls-Royce Spey jets, fitted at the tail, and she is equipped with an automatic landing device. The Trident had been in the very capable hands of Group Captain John Cunningham, the chief test pilot, who was very pleased with her performance. SHOTLIST: GV Trident. MS pan round Trident.
