Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Snowy Start. DESCRIPTION: As the curtain went up on the New Year, it was as if, suddenly, all Britain had been painted white. In the cities, the scene was very attractive, too, and squares were blanketed in snow. Big Ben went on strike by not striking. And the kids? They behaved as all kids do, when all this gorgeous white stuff lies around. But the railways were pretty hard hit. Ask anyone who had to travel that way! SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV countryside in snow. MS same. CU pan down tree tops covered with snow. Snow covered trees (3 shots). LS bridge over river. LS frozen river. MS pan - boys fishing from bridge. GV pan countryside in snow.
