Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Getting Around. DESCRIPTION: One of the events in connection with the Paris Boat Show was a rubber dinghy race over the River Seine. Big outboard engines sent them bouncing along at a pretty good lick, but the tricky job was getting round the bends. Take a turn too sharply, and you’re standing on your tail!. And here is the smallest car in the world, a lilliputian motor car, made by a taxi driver in Poland for his four kids. Top speed, five miles an hour. Easy to drive, and they can park on a sixpence! Costs about that to fill her up, too. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV start of rubber dinghy race. GV dinghies racing on the River Seine going under a bridge. MS dinghy. LS same racing.
