DESCRIPTION: The opening of the new 40,000 pound surgical wing of the equine hospital at Newmarket was performed by the Queen, who is patron of the Animal Health Trust. Focal point is the operating theatre. Here, it is possible to carry out complex equine surgery under conditions hardly bettered in human hospitals.
