Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Racing Roundup. DESCRIPTION: The big event was the Richard Seaman Memorial Trophies Race, and historic and vintage cars were out in force at Oulton Park, Cheshire. (Seen here are Sir Francis Samuelson, Britain’s oldest active racing driver, and George Eyston, breaker of records). There were twenty-three laps to race, something over sixty miles. The laurels of victory, in the historic section, went to racing driver Lindsay in his 1936 ERA. Now, something different from California, driving an old jalopy over sandy hills and hollows near Palm Springs. It is a great idea for anyone in search of a new sport. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV pits.
