Summary
2 February 1945: Lancasters fly low over the sea to attack the midget-submarine pens at Pudeshaven (?) [sic]. 23 February, night attack by Lancasters and Mosquitos on the communications and industrial centre at Pforzheim: aerial film of the precision bombing. 14 March, Lancasters bomb the Bielefeld railway viaduct, using 22,000 lb "Grandslam" bomb. 16 March, night attack by Lancasters on the rail and industrial centre at Wuerzburg. 19 March, raid on the Arnsberg viaduct: film of Lancaster carrying "Grandslam" bomb, and reconnaissance film showing damage caused by the raid to viaduct and mouth of tunnel. 7 April, Lancasters destroy a ship lying in Emden harbour, which was to have been scuttled to block to port approaches. 9 April, double attack on Hamburg - submarine pens and oil installations. 18 April, large scale daylight raid, escorted by Mustangs and Spitfires, on installations on the fortified naval base of Heligoland and Dueninsel; clearer aerial footage of follow-up raid the following day. 25 April, the last heavy attacks of the war, as Lancasters fly over the Bavarian Alps to bomb Hitler’s chalet, as well as SS barracks and Defence Control Centre at Berchtesgaden. Aerial footage unclear because of smoke and muddled presentation (in spite of inclusion of stop-frame "map").
