Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flood Havoc. DESCRIPTION: This is Exeter, just one of many towns in the West Country suffering from flood havoc. Devon and Somerset have been having the worst and wettest Autumn anyone can remember. Three times in a month, the same dreary routine has had to be withstood, then the process of mopping up. Now, it’s all been happening again. Day after day of downpour, sometimes two inches in 24 hours, and, already, estimates of the damage done are soaring into the million pound mark!
