Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Castro - Today. DESCRIPTION: Thousands gathered in Havana to celebrate the rebellion which overthrew the Batista regime, and to acclaim its leader Dr Castro who began the struggle six years ago. At a Benefit Baseball game, Dr Castro played pitcher. This was soon after he threatened to resign the Premiership. He’d been implored to remain in office. In fact, Cuba begged him to stay in there, pitching! And he decided to support the Government by returning as Premier. SHOTLIST: MS Castro waves (key). GV building pan to crowds. Crowds.
