DESCRIPTION: In Adelaide, Australia, a memorial has just been unveiled to the men who made flying history some forty years ago: Sir Keith and Sir Ross Smith, JM Bennett and WH Shiers. With their Vickers VIMY bi-plane they started from Britain to Australia, twenty-eight days and over eleven thousand miles. The Smith brothers were knighted for this great achievement.
