DESCRIPTION: While at Dunedin, the Queen Mother was given a typical welcome by some 30,000 New Zealanders at a gathering in Carisbrooke sports ground. A Highland Gathering - Down Under, it was just like Braemar! Her visit to Otago Point, was a very different engagement, there, accompanied by the warden of the Reserve, the Queen Mother walked over the headland, where an albatross colony has its home.
