MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Rotodyne. DESCRIPTION: Two Napier-Eland propeller-turbines. A four-bladed rotor, powered by jets at the tips. Principle features on a specification for success, as the world’s first vertical take-off airliner makes its maiden flight. It carries 48 passengers and it can operate from a roof top.
