Summary
Staged at Edinburgh Castle, a big feature of the Edinburgh Festival was the Military Tattoo. The Mounties provided a popular item. A detachment of the King’s African Rifles showed perfection on parade. One of the chief highlights was the performance given by Turkish cadets. Finally the band of the Turkish Janizaries, a regiment of Foot-Guards.
