- Reporter - Sir John, the ?? Foreign Minister said this morning that your appointment meant that Britain was going to war with Cyprus, would you say that that was an exaggeration? Harding - I’m very sorry that he has taken up that attitude, because as far as I’m concerned there is no question at all, in fact I believe that the sooner people settle down peacefully and quietly together, the sooner we can get the proper answers that are needed. Reporter - It’s been said that the task is an impossible one, you wouldn’t agree with that? John Harding - Well as the British Senator I’ve always been brought up to believe that there is nothing that is impossible.
