Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Frozen Continent. DESCRIPTION: Pictures of the continent during the freeze-up show the Rhine frozen over, the Belgian coast transformed by the snow and ice. In Paris, the international cycle race is not held up, neither is the international cross-country race at Hannut in Belgium. Gordon Pirie won the event from Gaston Reiff of Belgium. At Davos they’ve been holding the European Skating races, while Austria staged its Downhill Race. In preparation for the coming Spring, work is already under way on the floats for the Viareggio Carnival. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Germany - Cameramen shooting ice flow.
