Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Votes for Eskimos. DESCRIPTION: The supply ship d’Iberville had a very interesting part to play in the recent Canadian elections; she was the base from which Government officials arranged for Eskimos in the far North to cast their votes. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Elevated GV iceberg. Scenes aboard supply ship d’Iberville. Helicopter takes off with ballot boxes and voting papers. GV iceberg. Aerial of mainland. Eskimos look up as helicopter with special landing gear comes in. Helicopter lands. Barge puts out from side of ship. Crosses sea to mainland. Small boat on lake among pine trees.
