- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to Scotland Cont’d. (A&S Colours; Edinburgh Castle Keys; Thistle Ceremony; Murrayfield; Lanarkshire.). DESCRIPTION: Colour for the Argylls, Castle Ceremony, Murrayfield visit, Thistle Investiture and Lanark visit. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Royal Cypher. Holyrood House grounds, GV parade of Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Queen walks into grounds. Inspects regiment. Presents new colours. Address battalion, who reply with three cheers. During inspection Queen looks at pipe banner presented earlier in the year. At Edinburgh Castle. Two sentries walk onto castle turret, shout Who Goes there, Governor, Lt General Sir Colin Barber walks out of castle, presents key to Queen. Queen & Duke enter castle, with Lord Lyon, King of Arms & Lt General Barber. At Murrayfield, Queen & Duke drive onto arena, children cheer. Queen accepts bouquet from child, Evelyn Rose. Seated in box, watch Highland dancing, Scottish country dancing. St Giles Cathedral, Knights of Thistle in procession approach cathedral, include Admiral Cunningham & Lord Rosebery all in full regalia. Queen arrives with Duke, both fully dressed. MS St Giles Cathedral. In Lanarkshire, train draws into station, Queen & Duke alight received by Lord Clydesmuir. Diana Colville presents bouquet to Queen. Cut-in Guard of Honour. Cameronians paraded. At City Hall, royal couple on balcony, crowds cheer, preceded by drive through cheering crowds (trucking shot). Visits to Hamilton, with Mayor (Lady), crowds cheering etc., at other stopping places.
