Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Atom Bomb. Nevada. DESCRIPTION: Large numbers took part as close-up witnesses of the recent atomic blast in Nevada. The atomic device, a relatively small affair compared with some previous explosions, was to test flash and blast effects. Typical American houses were constructed and occupied by dummies. The American Air Force (who have dropped 14 of the 20 bombs exploded on Yucca Flats) released pictures of an atom bomb drop. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Various shots of the atom bomb before firing. Aerial shots of it exploding taken from various angles.
