Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke Visits Germany. DESCRIPTION: The Duke of Edinburgh, arriving for his five-day tour of British forces in Germany, first inspected the Guard of Honour. His Royal Highness visited the 6th Armoured Division at Hohne, where he drove a 50 ton Centurion tank. He also fired the 20 pounder gun. SHOTLIST: CU front of jeep with five stars on same. CU Duke sitting in jeep. Duke walks with Scots Officer. Watches troops training. Sees Bazooka gun fired. In slit trench with officers. Walks across country to watch mock battle (in battle dress & Peak cap). CU Duke. Duke climbs into tank to go with them on mock assault, looking through field glasses. Duke climbs into tank. CU Duke in battle dress and beret talking to men.
