MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Coronation Preparations - HM Robes & Beasts. DESCRIPTION: Work on the Queen’s Coronation robes is well advanced; at the Royal School of Needlework in Kensington experts are engaged on the task of embroidering the emblems of the United Kingdom. At Hammersmith, Mr Eccles (Minister of Works) visited Mr Woodford, designer of the Queen’s Beasts. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS workshop at Kensington, various shots of the Queen’s robes being worked upon, embroidering etc. At Hammersmith, Mr Eccles watches Mr Woodford sculpturing at various beasts, Lion, Unicorn, etc.
