- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Faith in Remembrance. DESCRIPTION: At this season of the year, close to the anniversary of the First World War’s Armistice - the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month - thoughts turn to the mercy of deliverance to two desperate world-wide wars, and to the men and women who fought in those conflicts but did not survive them . SHOTLIST: Cut story - Houses of Parliament. Big Ben at 11 o’clock - MS - SCU & CU. Elevated GV Whitehall with crowds paying homage on Armistice Day. GV Dieppe. Procession through streets, & troops looking at graves, GV Normandy beaches, Ridgeway arrives & lays wreath at monument. Fade to Korea, rows of crosses. King’s Own Borderers’ attend service, looking at crosses. Pan of crosses. All the above is Library material. In London, Queen Elizabeth walks through Garden of Remembrance outside Westminster Abbey. Queen plants cross in garden, followed by the Duke. Queen walks on.
