MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Limelight. Princess Margaret at Film Premiere. DESCRIPTION: The Charlie Chaplin film premiere drew many thousands to Leicester Square. Princess Margaret was there, and she was greeted by Lady Pamela Mountbatten. Her Royal Highness was presented to Mr and Mrs Chaplin. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Night - crowds outside Odeon. Ditto. Charlie Chaplin alights from car, waves to crowds - cheering. Inside - Mr & Mrs Chaplin enter with daughter Geraldine. Princess Margaret arrives. Inside Princess Margaret accompanied by Lady Pamela Mountbatten introduced to the Chaplins, also accompanied by Mr John Marshall. Blind girl (Patricia MacDonagh) & Geraldine present bouquet to Princess Margaret, same talks (silent) to the couple. Mr Green escorts Princess Margaret into theatre auditorium. Charlie Chaplin & Claire Bloom onto stage. Princess Margaret introduced to Claire Bloom by Charlie Chaplin.
