DESCRIPTION: An early visitor to the stricken neighbourhood of Lynmouth, was the Minister of Housing and Local Government, Mr Macmillan, who spoke of his early impressions. To make sure that everything possible was being done, Field Marshal Sir William Slim, flew in by helicopter. SHOTLIST: LS into Lynmouth. Police barrier up to prevent spectators. Various shots of Mr Macmillan touring devastated area. Climbing out of ruined window etc. Corpse washed up onto beach carried by on stretcher. Mr Macmillan speaks.
