DESCRIPTION: The big news of the moment from America is of course the Republican Party’s Convention in Chicago; Senator Taft was fighting out a fierce battle against a newcomer to the American political stage, General Eisenhower. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV interior of convention. SCUs of Senator Taft, also shots of Eisenhower, with supporters waving banners of both delegates. Crowds cheer. Chairman Gabrielson calls for order, & addresses the meeting. Senator Langlie argues with Gabrielson over vote, etc. Amendment carried & crowds cheer for Eisenhower.
