MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ridgeway Arrives in Paris, for Changeover With Eisenhower. DESCRIPTION: When General Ridgeway arrived in France with his wife and son, he was welcomed at Orly Airport by Defence Minister Monsieur Pleven, General Eisenhower and Field Marshal Montgomery. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Plane taxies. Ridgeway & wife & son alight from plane, greeted by Eisenhower, back to camera, introduced to Pleven, & Field Marshal Montgomery. Avenue of people, VIPs walk through, Ridgeway Jnr., holding Montgomery’s hand. Ridgeway says a few words before leaving. At the Arc de Triomphe Ridgeway lays a wreath. At Eisenhower’s residence, groups of the above, includes Eisenhower, Montgomery & Ridgeway. Several shots - Eisenhower is wearing dark glasses.
