- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Comet - London to Johannesburg. DESCRIPTION: A Cameraman accompanied the Comet, when it set out on a flight to Johannesburg. This was a trip to illustrate and to herald the world’s first regular jet-liner service. It’s the beginning of a new era in air travel. In effect, the size of the world has been halved by the Comet.
