- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: France Goes to the Poll. DESCRIPTION: The French Elections failed to produce any real surprise although there has been a swing to the right. The votes were roughly divided between General de Gaulle’s extreme right wing, the Communists and the so called Third Force a coalition of centre parties. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Box of votes being unlocked & turned out onto table. Various shots of general election posters, many angles. Several shots of people casting their votes, entering booth, etc. M Auriol & wife arrive & cast their votes. Votes being turned out onto table at end of voting.
