Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sugar Ray’s Round and a Half Victory. DESCRIPTION: At the Palais des Sports, Paris, Sugar Ray Robinson, World Welterweight Champion fought Jean Stock of France. In the second round, Robinson put Jean Stock down three times, each time the Frenchman was willing to carry on, but the fight ended when his seconds threw in the towel. SHOTLIST: KS. Robinson enters ring. Shots of Robinson loosening up in his corner after bowing to the audience. Jean Stock in his corner, standing. GV of first round, gong sounds. Stock attacks, Ray Robinson attacks with rights & lefts. In second round, Robinson goes all out, knocking Stock down for count of nine, rises, he is again knocked down for the count of nine. Robinson knocks him through ropes, struggles back & is just approaching Robinson for more, when his seconds throw in the towel. Finish on walking to their corners.
