MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Atom Bomb - Secret Experiments Released to the World. DESCRIPTION: Since Atom Bomb number five at Bikini, there have been further experiments at Eniwetok (another Pacific Atoll) - three improved bombs have been tested. The details of these latest experiments remain secret - but the pictures, shown now for the first time, tell the incredible story of incredible force with fearful clarity. SHOTLIST: KS. Rising smoke directly after explosion, tilt up of same. Aerial - Bikini Islands. Men putting goggles on. LS atom bomb No 5 exploding, wave washing over ship anchored around island. Aerial of Eniwetok Atoll. Instruments & towers in water for use during explosions. Radar instruments. Loading plane with camera, shot through glass being fixed in position. Night shot plane taxiing & taking off, without pilot. Inside control room, man at controls. LS night explosion of atom bomb No 6. GVs explosion during night. Planes return to aerodrome touchdown. Explosion of bomb No 7. Various shots of night. Aerial of explosions. Men on deck of ship don goggles, night explosion No 8, lighting the surrounds up for miles around, ground & aerial shots. Instrument - arm gradually rotating to zero clockwise. CU man saying 3,2,1, fire.
