MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: France Restores Setting of 1918 Armistice. DESCRIPTION: The French have reconstructed a coach similar to the original carriage used for the signing of the 1918 Armistice, it has been put on the road and sent to Compiegne, where in a clearing of the Forest the other memorials of the Armistice-signing remain. SHOTLIST: KS. Interior of carriage. Library - GV of setting with coach in background. MS Hitler with Goering walking past Guard of Honour. Party enter coach. MS band playing. Fade in similar coach on road en route to Compiegne turning in roadway. Signpost on side of road reads "Compiegne". CU statue of Foch. Similar coach being manoeuvred into old position.
