- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Korea - Gis Bag Equipment & Prisoners. British Troops for the Front. DESCRIPTION: GIs BAG EQUIPMENT AND PRISONERS - GIs of the First Cavalry Division capture a village, already considerable quantities of enemy equipment are being brought in. Prisoners, too, are being taken in numbers that necessitate POW camps. BRITISH TROOPS FOR THE FRONT - At the Korean port of Pusan, HMS Unicorn comes in to disembark British troops - mostly Middlesex (who are in Korea with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders). South Koreans had laid on a warm welcome, for the British were the first United Nations troops to reinforce the Americans. SHOTLIST: KS. CU tanks passing camera. Tanks on road. GI advancing across hilly country. Captured war materials, tanks, lorries etc. POW camp, prisoners inside. Russian sign given by POW. Nurses sweeping out camps. Rice being cooked & served out to prisoners. British troops on troop train pass camera. At Hong Kong, troops embark aboard "Ceylon" cruiser. Pipers playing along quay. At Pusan, aircraft carrier "Unicorn". Flag on ship. Koreans cheering. Officer Brigadier Coad presented with bouquet of flowers, with Major Reath. Band plays on quay. CU types of British Troops. British troops disembark from ship.
