Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Colours for Red Devils. DESCRIPTION: His Majesty the King inspected three regular battalions before presenting the first King’s Colours to the Parachute Regiment. Field Marshal Lord Montgomery was with Their Majesties when they met representatives of the Old Comrades Association. SHOTLIST: KS Line (rank) of parachutists. GV officer standing in front of parachutists shouting out order "Order Arms". King accompanied by Field Marshal Montgomery inspects parachutists, also Old Comrades. Queen also inspects. GV of parade. Canon Hughes (Chaplain) blesses the Colours. CU Colours. Blessing in sound. King presents Colours to 3 battalions (mix). King addresses Red Devils. Back view & SCU of King speaking, also cut-in of parachutists listening. Several shots of the marchpast, King taking salute. Paratroop Regiment.
