MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Australia on Guard Against Reds. DESCRIPTION: At Canberra, the Australian Government prepared to introduce anti-communist legislation. Mr Menzies, arriving to introduce the bill, was evidently in very good humour - with a special smile for the cameraman. SHOTLIST: KS. MS small crowd gathered outside Parliament House. Communists arrive at "House" and enter, some covering their faces. People walk around outside "House". SCU Mr Idris Williams, named as Communist. Mr Menzies arrives & enters, stops & smiles at camera.
