MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Easter - How Did You Like It ??. DESCRIPTION: Once again the City of London was deserted, some Londoners who stayed at home found the Serpentine attractive (but that was on Good Friday, before the gales), others went to the zoo. Scenes from Brighton and Blackpool record one of the worst Easters for years. SHOTLIST: KS. Deserted city street. Various deserted city streets around Fleet Street & Royal Exchange. Rowing on the Serpentine, several shots. Various shots of zoo, crowds on Mappin Terrace, look through wire at bears. Brumas swimming, various shots of him swimming. Several shots of hikers in the country. Elevated GV Brighton Front, wintry scene. People seated on chairs on front, endeavour to read newspapers. Large waves break over Brighton Seafront, several shots. SCU large wave. Blackpool, people fighting against strong wind, various shots. Sand blown up onto streets from beaches by the wind.
