- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: HMS Truculent Lifted. DESCRIPTION: Admiral Sir Henry Moore, Commander-in-Chief the Nore, was present as the attempt to raise Truculent began, the job was done by means of ‘power lift’ by the Energic and Ausdauer, vessels formerly in the service of Germany. SHOTLIST: KS. GV of two lifting vessels "Engerie" & "Ausdauer", Several shots of the two lifting vessels with pontoon between same. Shot of Admiral Sir Henry Moore (C-in-C the Nore) arrives on his launch. MS of hawser attached to lifting vessels & submarine. Several angle shots of lifting vessels prior to lifting submarine. Top of radar tower appears above water, mix to conning tower mix to gun turret mix to GV of complete submarine above water, showing the name "Truculent" on side of submarine. Dusk & night shots of work still in progress. Going out of camera launch pulls away from operation, lights flickering across the water. Daylight - "Truculent" beached on bank. CU damaged bows & other shots of naval personnel inspecting damaged bow. Several shots of the beached submarine with naval officers aboard her.
