Summary
Raids by bombers of the Second Tactical Air Force exemplified by: 8 August, Mosquitos perform low level attack on a school said to house three hundred German troops, at Egletons, in support of the Maquis; 12 September, Bostons and Mitchells bomb enemy strongholds around Boulogne; 28 October, Bostons and Mitchells attack the Deventer to hold up German reserves. During the breakthrough of the German army under von Rundstedt, Bostons and Mitchells attack troop concentrations at Schmidthein (23 December) and Dasburg (1 January 1945).
