- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Operation Bulldog - Air Exercise. DESCRIPTION: Aircraft from Great Britain, the United States, France, Holland and Belgium took part in the recent combined exercises to test the efficiency of the Western Union defences and bombing forces. Mr Arthur Henderson, the Secretary of State of Air, flew with the American Squadron in their mock bombing attacks. SHOTLIST: KS. MS Lincoln Bomber on ground. Interior - various shots airmen being briefed, cut-ins men listening & instructor addressing. Silhouette - Lincoln takes off. On aerodrome Mr Henderson dons flying suit & boards USA B50 Fortress. Observers active on roof of building. Interior chart shows area covered. Vampires flying. Vampire on ground Frenchman falls as he climbs off plane. Pilots run to planes, Vampires take off. Dutch pilots play cards - scatter & run for planes. Meteors take-off & in flight. Bofor gun firing (pretence). Mosquito flies low ‘attacking’ over same. Vapour trails in the sky with trails from fighters intercepting the bombers. Fighters attacking - various shots. Interior - officer commanding watches manoeuvres. Pilot seated in cockpit reading Daily Express "Atom Bomb" headlines.
