MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Early Harvest. DESCRIPTION: In many parts of Britain, the farmer is harvesting owing to the large amount of sunshine and heat waves this year. The harvest is about a month ahead of schedule. SHOTLIST: KS. GV cornfields. Aerial shots of field, some being reaped. Ground shot - reaping. Shots of stooking. CU ears of corn. CU ears of barley. CU ears of oats. Farmer fires shot gun. Boy picks up dead rabbit from corn. Stacking (loading) corn onto lorry. Wheat over top of conveyor, falls onto ground for stooking. GV fields being reaped. Aerials shots of wheat fields. Trucking shot of wheat fields.
