Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Daily Mail Air Pageant. DESCRIPTION: At Gatwick, an enormous crowd attended to see acrobatics, aerial display and dare-devil flying. Miss Betty Skelton from America shows her efficiency in flying, doing a double flick roll and flying under a ribbon about twelve feet from the ground. The Wee-Bee, the smallest piloted plane in the world, is piloted by Karl Montigo, the Secretary of State for Air chats with him before taking off. SHOTLIST: KS. Crowds look up as Vampire streaks across the sky. Crowds look at formation of Superfortresses passing overhead & over camera. Betty Skilton pats her mascot painted on tail of her machine. SCU in cockpit & flying, does a double flick roll, & flies low under ribbon held up by long arms. Arthur Henderson talks (silent) with Mr Karl Montigo, pilot of the "Wee-Bee" plane (smallest in the world). "Wee-Bee" takes off & in flight. Public look at latest types of planes.
