Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: South African War Veterans Parade. DESCRIPTION: Veterans of the South African war march to St Paul’s Cathedral to observe the fiftieth anniversary. Amongst those present were Lord Wavell, the Earl of Athlone and Winston Churchill. SHOTLIST: KS. Tilt down St Paul’s Cathedral. South African veterans march along road. SCU Wavell saluting. SCU Earl of Athlone. Entering Cathedral - includes old timer in uniform of that period. Churchill arrives, alights from car, received by Lord Wavell, he is accompanied by Mrs Churchill. CU types of South African veterans. Veterans enter church, also back view Mr & Mrs Churchill walking down aisle. Outside, torrential rain, veterans line top of steps in rain. SCU Wavell taking salute in rain. Wavell gets into car.
