- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to Channel Islands. DESCRIPTION: The Royal couple left Weymouth onboard the battleship Anson at the start of their four day visit to the islands. On Alderney the Princess plants a tree and in Jersey a vast crowd gathers in St Helier to see them. SHOTLIST: KS. GV beflagged hotel. GV Alderney from sea. Elevated GV of island. Princess Elizabeth, Duke of Edinburgh followed by Chuter Ede come ashore. Princess Elizabeth plants a tree in main square. Princess Elizabeth addresses the crowd, paying tribute to the Channel Islands. FADE Aboard HMS "Anson", walk along deck towards camera. GV destroyer under way. GV yachts in harbour at Jersey - St Helier. Land at Jersey. Inspect - ex-servicemen by Duke, Princess with lifeboatmen. Bouquet presented to Princess Elizabeth by small child who retreats, walking backwards all the way. Shot from travelling car, crowds line streets cheering, waving etc. GV trucking shot of one of the bays. GV United Club bedecked with flags. Princess & Duke walk onto balcony. Acknowledges crowds.
