MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Thrills Galore in USA Greatest Car Classic. DESCRIPTION: At Indianapolis, the Five Hundred Miles Motor Race, is run with many thrills and spills. Winner of this race is Bill Holland who receives sixty thousand dollars and a kiss from Linda Darnell. SHOTLIST: KS. Crowds at races. Cars in pits being prepared. CU drivers. Start of race, flag down. Various angle shots of cars racing, three crashes in all. One turns completely round in braking. Another turns over. Charlie van Acker’s. Last one loses a wheel & bursts into flames, other cars racing through the flames & (Duke Nalon) round the flames which stretch right across the track. (Car turning over is blown-up material). Winner passing chequered flag. CU winner, Bill Holland embracing Linda Darnell & kissing her.
